THE GENEALOGY OF ROBERT (ROBIN) EASLEY, THE FRENCH HUGUENOT IMMIGRANT AND HIS WIFE, ANN PARKER, THROUGH GEORGE-WOODSON-EASLEY AND DELLA-WHITTON-EASLEY AND THEIR FAMILY

Tags:  Easley, Easley-Genealogy, Robert-Easley, George-Woodson-Easley, Della-Whitton-Easley

This website is the home of the “Robert-Easley to George-Woodson-Easley Genealogy.” The site is in progress, growing as more information comes along.

This lineage began in the British Colony in about 1668 with the Immigrant, Robert-Easley. He married Ann Parker. John, the eldest son, is the second generation in the lineage. His son, Warham married Ann (Nannie) Woodson. The next generation moved to Tennessee. Leaving that Territory, they migrated on to Alabama, before it became a Territory. After the Civil War, the lineage moved to Texas, where all grandfather’s siblings remained. Only George-Woodson-Easley moved on to California.

Easley is a controversial name in Easley-Genealogy. The author is following the French path, which leads to the Huguenots. The Easley name may have been D’Escale; the ancestor’s residing in the Alps of France. The Author researched the Easley-Genealogy (Robert-Easley and the three generations to follow in the Colony) with the assistance of the Huguenot Society. You may view the results of this search under “Virginia.”

Della-Whitton-Easley had a parallel history migrating from the Colony to Pacific Ocean. Her mother, Nancy, Nanny, relocated from Virginia to California in her life-time. Aunt, Ruby Easley Heflin, became the first born in California. My sister, Jeanette Easley Arnett, was the first in my father's line.

Nancy, mother of Della-Whitton-Easley, developed a friendship with Chief Quanah Parker of Texas and Oklahoma. He came each year to Medicine Mounds for a spiritual retreat. Great-grandmother would present a cow each season in honor of the Chief.

The sojourn as Easley descendants is typical of Manifest-Destiny in America. My father, L.W. Easley, first researched the Easley-Genealogy. Uncle Carlos Easley, continued the Easley-Genealogy. I came next along with Cousin Laura Ridgeway-Easley Breite and Donna Bennett and her mother, Marjorie Easley Bennett. I am very pleased to say that with uncle (brother) and father, the renewed efforts are productive.

We Easley descendants pay homage to Robert-Easley, the Immigrant, and the grandparents, George-Woodson-Easley and Della-Whitton-Easley. After the last Easley frontier migrants, George-Woodson-Easley and Della-Whitton-Easley, we continue.
